This week the thing that's being talked about throughout the Playstation community is the release of Modern Combat Domination. A game that was released via the Playstation Store last night for only $5.99.
We immediately had to download the demo to give it a test run so we could give you guys a reasonable review on the game. Though many are comparing it to the likes of Call of Duty and Socom, we have to say that it is way less extravagant than those games, to say at the least.
The game play is choppy and most definitely not as smooth as Call of Duty and the imagery is below average, the graphics reminded us of an app that you could buy off of the Apple app store. The plot is quite obviously non existent, and the bots are simple and quite easy to beat without having a choice to harden the level (unlike on Black Ops).
After a review of the weaponry selection, many of the guns do not provide the amount of performance that they should via real life. The shotgun was terrible and the other assault rifles were merely tolerable.
To be the devil's advocate, we would have to say for the amount of money that you would be putting into the game, it is most definitely above average. You cannot expect to be able to compare a $70.00 first person shooter (Call of Duty) to this $5.99 first person shooter and come out with a similar result.
If you're looking for a game that's just going to pass the time then I'd advise you to spend the $5.99, but if you're looking for something that will just blow your brains away, I'd advise you to stay far far away.
