Resident Evil 5

All those who are familiar with zombie movies are quite familiar with the Resident Evil franchise, both movie and video game.  When Resident Evil (the film) first came out, I was immediately drawn into the world of Alice and what her life would tell.  My parents always played the video games but I never really bothered trying them until Leon Kennedy and RE4 came into the picture.  Well, Sony Pictures are giving us yet another chance to be catapulted into the world of Alice with the fifth Resident Evil film that is set to be released on September 14th of 2012.

With the released being set in 2012, that is officially the lowest down time between movies that Milla Jovovich and husband/director Paul W.S. Anderson have had.  There are usually 2.5-3 years between each Resident Evil film that has been released.

There has been no official statement about the plot as of just yet and the film is being called "Resident Evil 5" until further details are to be released.

Most of the fans of the franchise can easily agree that Resident Evil: Afterlife wasn't capable of living up to their expectations and personally, I wish that they hadn't implemented the 3D compatibility.  The movie may have put itself in second position for top grossing zombie movie (behind Zombieland) but the overall audience attendance was at an all time low.  With that being said, Milla Jovovich has said that her and Paul W.S. Anderson will be interacting with fans and seeing what the masses want before they start work on the title to ensure that it's going to be a hit this time around.

It's not said HOW they will be interacting with fans but just in case they drop by our site or GI's, leave a comment and let us know what you'd like to see in the new Resident Evil 5 movie.
