Today Konami Digital Entertainment announced that they have begun filming Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, a sequel to the popular horror film Silent Hill. As you know, the Silent Hill movies are based on Konami’s popular game franchise and they will be filming in Toronto, Ontario. Since the movies are a complete adaptation of the video games, viewers will be able to be thrown into a world of gut wrenching horror, haunting monsters and many other things you could fear all in the town of Silent Hill.
Regarding the plot for the movie, it will be about Heather Mason (Adelaide Clemens) and how her father has been on the run from dangerous forces that she doesn’t exactly understand. On the night of her 18th birthday, after being tormented by terrible nightmares and being distraught about the disappearance of her father, she discovers that she’s not who she thinks she is. After this realization, she is lead into a demonic world that is threatening to trap her in Silent Hill forever.
Shinji Hirano, the President of Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc stated, “For over a decade, the Silent Hill franchise has been scaring players through psychological horror and the fear of the unknown, it’s that proven blueprint for terror we know Samuel Hadida is capable of re-creating for the big screen. With him at the heim, we’re confident Silent Hill Revelation 3D, will bring a new dimension of fear for fans both old and new.”
Silent Hill: Revelation 3D will be taken under the same wing as most of the creative team that was working on Silent Hill including: Michael J. Bassett (Solomon Kane, Deathwatch), and will feature rising starts Adelaide Clemens (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Vampire, Camilla Dickinson, Wasted on the Young) and Kit Harington (Game of Thrones).
