BlizzCon Tickets On Sale!

BlizzCon is coming and you better be prepared.  In February, Blizzard announced that their BlizzCon would go from October 21-22nd but didn’t really provide any other information regarding the games included such as: Diablo, Starcraft, Warcraft, and World of Warcraft.

Today they announced that their tickets for the long awaited BlizzCon will be going on sale starting on May 21st at 10 A.M. PDT.  There will be two batches of tickets being sold, the first for $175 each (this will start on May 21st), and the second also sold for $175 each which will be starting on Wednesday May 25th at 7 P.M. PDT.  You will be able to pick the tickets up via the BlizzCon website (www.blizzcon.com).  Just keep in mind that in previous years, the tickets have sold out in a couple of minutes so make sure that you keep clicking “refresh” on your browser 10 mins before tickets go on sale.  The event will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center in California.

Alongside the general admission, there will be benefit tickets that allow you to gain entry into the BlizzCon benefit dinner.  The dinner will happen on Thursday, October 20th and it is an exclusive event that will allow you to party it up with Blizzard developers before BlizzCon.  These tickets are priced at $500 each and they will include your regular BlizzCon admission ticket.  So basically you’ll be paying around $325 to go to an exclusive event.  All proceeds from the benefit dinner will be going to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County.  There will be only 200 tickets being sold on Saturday May 28th at 10 A.M. PDT (also on the BlizzCon website).

Obviously at BlizzCon you will be able to grab some play time with current and upcoming Blizzard titles, indulge in feature panels with Blizzard developers, be a part of several professional gaming tournaments and a ton of contests revolving around dancing, costumes and trivia.

Here’s a list of the dates just so you guys don’t get confused:

First batch sale (general admission): May 21st, 2011 - 10 A.M. PDT ($175)
Second batch sale (general admission): May 25th, 2011 - 7 P.M. PDT ($175)
BlizzCon Benefit Dinner tickets: May 28th, 2011 - 10 A.M. PDT  ($500)

Though the prices may seem outrageous to a few of you, we have heard that BlizzCon is truly an amazing video gaming experience, especially if you’re a fan of Blizzard.  So if you can afford it, we highly recommend that you take the time to go!
