Once again the Australian gaming industry has failed to keep a lid on a huge secret relating to the release of a new video game. On Game Australia’s website there was a flyer that was accidentally posted relating to a new DLC pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops. The flyer has since been removed, of course, but it was up earlier this morning. The map pack is going to be called Escalation and it is due to be released on May 3rd, 2011. It will be released on Xbox Live first due to the three year exclusivity deal that Activision and Microsoft have.
The map pack will include 5 new maps including a brand new zombie map named Call of the Dead. The other maps are titled: Zoo, Hotel, Convoy and Stockpile.
With the ongoing trend of the release of CoD map packs and the release of the games themselves, we can be looking forward to receiving new content within 3 month intervals.
As of right now, there isn’t an exact price on the game but if there will be any similarity in price compared to First Strike we can be expecting a $14.99 charge or 1200 Microsoft Points.
