No Place For A Hero

Greetings, readers. It has been some time since I've really had the time to write on here, and for that I am sorry. So busy with my crappy day job :( So now that I have some time to really sit down and focus, Here is a new look at one of my personal Most Anticipated Titles of 2011, Batman: Arkham City.

The Official Gameplay Trailer, or "Ain't No Place For a Hero" Trailer, for Batman: Arkham City was released yesterday, as the Fall release date creeps up on us.
There were also a lot of rumors going around saying that there might be a co-op mode featuring Cat Woman or Robin as a playable character. These rumors were finally put to rest recently, saying "Batman: Arkham City will be a 'single-player experience ONLY". The whole stealthy mystery aspect of Batman would be crushed if there was a co-op mode. I must say, I would have to agree.

If you haven't been following the Arkham City news lately, then would might not know that the Asylum's old warden, Quincey Sharp, has taken credit for Batman's success in the Asylum, and was elected Mayor. He decides instead of keeping criminals locked in cages, he is going to wall-off a large area of Gotham City's slums and release them all, hopefully making them simply kill each other off and "let the problem deal with itself", and names the area "Arkham City".
Meanwhile in Arkham City, Two-Face is looking to rise-to-power and gain respect. To do this, he decides he wants to publicly execute Catwoman. This gives Batman the incentive to climb the walls into Arkham City and begin his new "mission".

Another interesting aspect of Batman: Arkham City, is the presence of Hugo Strange. Only comic book gurus will recognize this name in the Batman world, as he has been around longer than the Joker's first appearance. However, in the "Arkham" world, Rocksteady Studios have stated that this will be the first encounter between Strange and Batman. Hugo Strange is a famed psychiatrist who has studied Batman from afar, and has learned his true identity as Bruce Wayne.
Well, Batman simply cannot let his identity be revealed... Go get'em, Bats.
