Sony has made it official that both Playstation 3 models are getting a price cut effective immediately in all territories, except in Japan where it will happen August 18th. The 160GB model is now priced at $250 ($50 less than the previous price), and the 320GB system at $300 in the United States.
Also, Sony has announced a new inFAMOUS limited edition bundle available at participating retailers across North America. The bundle will include a copy of inFAMOUS 2, 320GB PS3, and a 30-day membership to Playstation Plus. Sounds like one hell of a deal to me.
Analysts believe that Sony could see a 30-50% spike in sales.
The next question is... How will Microsoft respond to this?
