Alright, we have some Duke Nukem multiplayer modes for you guys today thanks to Official Xbox Magazine. They put out scans that reveal the four multiplayer modes available in Duke Nukem Forever and they are: Dukematch, Team Dukematch, Capture the Babe (in true Duke Nukem fashion), and Hail to the King.
Of course there will be some sense of controversy when it comes to “Capture the Babe” considering that you have to capture a woman that belongs to the other team and as you carry her around she has temper tantrums and you have to reassure her by slapping her. We’ll see how that works out in the end, I’m not saying anything until I get a chance to play it!
Here’s the multiplayer aspects in a nutshell:
-10 maps at launch, including maps designed to play while Duke is shrunken to miniature size
-8 players max, two teams of four players (4v4)
-Jetpacks in some maps
-Weapons that are confirmed: shotty, pistol, ripper chain gun, pipe bomb, RPG, shrinker, rail gun, freezer, devastator, trip bomb. You can only use 2 primary weapons at once alongside trip bombs and pipe bombs.
Basically you can be looking forward to your usual FPS with a Duke Nukem feel to it that will most definitely make it a completely unique experience, content wise.
