Bethesda Softworks a ZeniMax Media company presents: Dishonored

Today one of the largest video game publishers (in my books) announced a brand new video game titled Dishonored.  Dishonored will be a first-person action game under the development of Arkane Studios and under the publishing ability of Bethesda Softworks a ZeniMax Media company.

The lead designer of Arx Fatalis, Raphael Colantonio and the lead designer on Deus Ex, Harvey Smith will both be collaborating as co-creative directors of this new game.  Dishonored WILL be multi platform, looking to hit shelves for the 360, PS3, and PC sometime during 2012.

Nintendo 3DS Black Screen of Death Fix/Reggie Mii

With the release of any new console, it is presumed that there will be some sort of bug that comes along with them.  Though it is not “acceptable,” it is indeed “accepted” by the masses.  This is no different for the new Nintendo 3DS.  Those who purchased the 3DS on the release day were complaining about how their 3DS would crash and an error screen or a black screen would appear on their handheld console.  Nintendo immediately addressed the issue and created a new system update for their consumers.

“If anyone is experiencing any problems with their Nintendo 3DS console, we recommend that in the first instance they download and install the latest system update, now available online,” says Nintendo.  “If the problems still persist we recommend they contact their local Nintendo Customer Service center to investigate the problem further.”

With the 3DS’ release just yesterday, hopefully this update will solve everyone’s problems!

On a lighter note, thanks to Game Informer there is a Reggie Mii available for your 3DS.

For those of you who were lucky enough to get a 3DS yesterday, or even today, why not add a new character to your Mii Plaza by adding Reggie Fils-Aime (Nintendo president)?

Game Informer received a code in a letter that came with their press 3DS units and they decided that they would “share the wealth” with their readers.

This is what you have to do:

1. Go to Mii Maker on the Nintendo 3DS

2. Select “QR Codes/Images Options”

3. Select “Scan QR Code”

4. Point the 3DS external camera at the QR code below and receive a Reggie Mii

That is the QR code above.  

“While this was intended to work with a code printed on paper, I tested this scan of the code with my computer monitor and Reiner’s brand-new 3DS and it worked for me.  I apologize if anyone has problems getting it to work,” advises Matt Helgeson of Game Informer.
