Sony Disses Nintendo Handhelds

Sony CEO, Jack Tretton, felt the need to express his opinions recently about Nintendo handheld devices ( Nintendo DS and 3DS ). He believes that anyone who is over the age of 20 should be embarrassed to own any of these devices because they are for kids. Looks like someone is a little jealous of all Nintendo's success in this field.

“Our view of the ‘Game Boy experience’ is that it’s a great babysitting tool, something young kids do on airplanes, but no self-respecting twenty-something is going to be sitting on an airplane with one of those… He’s too old for that.”
- Sony CEO Jack Tretton

If you know anything about Jack Tretton, this comment is completely of norm. However, was this really appropriate? Ever since Nintendo has been putting out handheld devices they have absolutely dominated any other competitor that has attempted to steal their glory. Although, Sony's PSP has proven to bring great innovation to the handheld market, like others, they have failed to top the audience Nintendo has.

If you own a Nintendo DS or 3DS and are over the age of 20, do you feel ashamed for having one? When I see an older person playing either of these devices I will admit I do question if they are playing Pokemon! Please let us know by commenting!
