Remember the PSP Go? Well, it will be no more reports Andriasang. Production for the handheld gaming device has been absolutely obliterated and all information/evidence of the device has been removed from sites. This was made official yesterday as Sony Computer Entertainment Japan announced to stop production and to cancel shipments.
Future sales of the device have been limited to current stock and SCEJ attached a “shipment ended” notice to the listings of the PSP Go on Playstation.com.
The new device that it’s in the sights of Sony and their employees is the PSP-3000 and they will be putting all of their effort towards it. “It is a very exciting time for PlayStation portable devices. Before the end of the year we are launching NGP…which we believe will revolutionize portable gaming. In the meantime, the current generation of PSPs continue to be in demand, especially since the introduction of our value for money Essentials range of games, and we will continue to meet that demand.”
In all reality, who’s really going to miss this? Not us, for one and we’re sure that Sony won’t either.
